Public Listing Marks Major Milestone for Spanish UAV Tech Leader
Embention, a specialist in advanced drone control solutions, has officially transitioned its listing to Euronext Growth Paris. The move, moving from Euronext Access, is designed to enhance the company visibility among international investors as demand for safety-critical drone tech accelerates.
With nearly two decades of operational history, Embention has carved out a niche in the integration of embedded AI with safety-critical avionics. Their hardware is designed to support autonomous operations in contested or GPS-denied environments, a critical requirement for both modern defense and emerging Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) sectors.
The Lead in Certification
A key differentiator for the Alicante-based firm is its regulatory standing. Embention was the first drone avionics provider to secure both EASA APDOA (Alternative Procedures for Design Organisation Approval) and POA (Production Organisation Approval). This level of certification is mandatory for any platform intending to operate in commercialized urban airspace or heavy industrial logistics.
David Benavente, CEO of Embention, noted that the listing supports the company goal of enabling drones to populate skies safely. As the industry moves toward scalable, beyond visual line of sight (BVLOS) operations, the ability to produce certified, reliable flight control systems remains the primary bottleneck for many startups. Embention’s listing suggests a maturing of the supply chain for these critical components.
The company maintains a global footprint with offices in Alicante, Los Angeles, and Abu Dhabi, employing over 180 professionals. Its Veronte Autopilot ecosystem remains one of the few commercially available systems designed from the ground up to meet aerospace standards rather than hobbyist specifications.
