The United States Department of Defense has placed a follow-on order for 1,320 F10 strike FPV quadcopters from Ukrainian manufacturer F-Drones under the Pentagon’s Drone Dominance initiative. The order expands upon an initial batch of 2,000 units delivered in July 2026, bringing total US military procurement of the platform to 3,320 units.
Non-Chinese Supply Chain Compliance
The F10 is a tactical strike quadcopter engineered to carry kinetic payloads against armored vehicles, fortifications, and personnel. To comply with strict United States defense acquisition rules and National Defense Authorization Act supply chain mandates, F-Drones configured the platform without components sourced from China. Flight avionics, speed controllers, radio frequency links, and structural frames are produced entirely using Ukrainian and European component suppliers.
Gauntlet Evaluation and US Manufacturing
The Drone Dominance program represents a 1 billion dollar Pentagon initiative aimed at fielding more than 200,000 low-cost, attritable uncrewed systems by 2027. Selection for procurement is determined through multi-stage field trials known as Gauntlets. During Gauntlet I trials conducted at Fort Benning, Georgia, the F10 scored 72.9 out of 100 points across flight testing and payload delivery matrices, finishing sixth out of 25 competing platforms to secure a production contract.
F-Drones operates in the United States through its domestic partner, UDD Tech Corp. Under the partnership framework, the companies are completing licensing requirements to transition from direct airframe export to localized assembly at a manufacturing facility in Ohio.
Delivery Schedule and Strategic Integration
The contract requires delivery of the 1,320 additional airframes by late November 2026. F-Drones confirmed that the export allocation will not impact frontline delivery quotas for Ukrainian armed forces. The procurement marks the continued integration of combat-proven attrition warfare drone systems into US tactical training and operational stockpiles.
